The following article explains how hospitals have implemented processes in order to link “patient experience and quality.” By tying these two together, hospitals can assure that their patients have positive involvement and receive “the right care at the right time while being spared from harm.” Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center, Bassett Medical Center, and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center describe how they each took constructive steps towards improving the patient experience while simultaneously bridging the health care efficiency gap.
